Patrick Almand is a Dallas-based attorney whose practice focuses on estate planning, real property, and business law. He brings a methodical, client-centered approach to every matter — whether drafting a comprehensive estate plan, handling probate litigation, navigating a complex real estate transaction, or advising a business through a critical inflection point.
Before entering private practice, Patrick served as a prosecutor with 32 jury trials, and as in-house counsel for a financial services firm for almost 10 years. Patrick served over 20 years in the United States Army, as an Intelligence Officer, reaching the rank of Lieutenqnt Colonel, an experience that instilled the discretion, discipline, precision, and sense of duty that defines his legal work to this day. He is a proud Texan who believes that sound legal counsel is the most meaningful investment a person can make — for themselves, their family, and the generations that follow.
Patrick exclusively serves a limited number of select clients to ensure each engagement receives the full measure of his attention.
Patrick spent nine years as Assistant General Counsel at First Command Financial Services advising on Department of Defense regulations, and serves as a Lieutenant Colonel and intelligence officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. For military and veteran families that means Survivor Benefit Plan elections, Thrift Savings Plan beneficiary designations, SGLI and VA benefits are handled as part of the estate plan rather than discovered afterward.
